Job description, responsibilities and duties
This position is to provide operational support for personal and shared network drives located on various servers across multiple datacenters.
On this job you will:
• Provide support for the file server environments (clustered and standalone Windows servers and NetApp appliances) in various datacenter locations.
• Take ownership of assigned projects to load-balance data drives, migrate users, decommission legacy servers, set up new shares, collaborate with other support teams in server deployments.
• Troubleshooting user issues submitted via a ticketing system, problem resolution, new technology integration, and on-call duty pager support.
• Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels.
• Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate solutions
• Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations; Supports media management through internal methods and procedures or through offsite storage and retrieval services

Personality requirements and skills
• Knowledge of Windows Server 2008 and 2012, scripting, DFS and FSRM/quota management
• Understanding of Active Directory users and group administration, NTFS File & Share permissions
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Clustering, Netbackup & Backup/Restore processes and troubleshooting, Netapp, File Filtering with FSRM and Folder Redirection.
