Job description, responsibilities and duties
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Based on successful and long-term cooperation with our client, we are building a global development team inside of new development center located in Prague working on exciting projects related to M2M environment.
Our client is bringing to Prague new M2M (Machine to Machine) field designing communication modules according to GSM, WCDMA, UMTS and LTE standards. One important property of the modules has to be excellent performance and robustness for operation in an industrial, automotive and other M2M's environments.
As a Software Test Engineer in M2M team in Prague, you will prepare and conduct testing of these revolutionary products.
A WEEK IN THE LIFE OF A SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER:
- Validate system software on a wireless module according to test strategy and plan
- Follow up with the test plan, write automation test scripts and execute test cases
- Design test cases, analyze test log files and support troubleshooting
- Continuously improving test cases for early failure detection
WORKING AS SOFTWRE TEST ENGINEER IN M2M YOU SHOULD:
- Be interested in system and application test for wireless modules, knowledgeable about software test methodologies and common software development life cycle
- Be ideally proficiency in C/C++, Java or other script language, familiarity with wireless communication technologies like GSM, W-CMDA and AT-command, experience on protocol and RRM test system like R&S CRTU- W and CRTU-RRM or CMW500, project management skills
- Be a fluent English speaker and quick-learner
- Have a Bachelor or Master Degree in Telecommunication or computer software engineering
