PROJECT LEADER SUPPLY CHAIN

GOAL
Managing projects in relation to the development of a Supply Chain for the purchased components benefit for the purpose of the assembly of turbo compressors. Helping the Commodity Buyer and the Supplier Developer, closely communicating with the Project Leader Turbo.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
*Preparing projects to develop the Supply Chain of all purchased parts while in close consultation with the Project Leader Turbochargers;
*Monitoring the supplier milestones, as described in the ‘General Quality Requirements for Supplied Parts’;
*Attending regular internal project meetings (APQP meetings);
*Managing commodity buyers, developer suppliers, buyers and other internal officers which are involved in the development of the Supply Chain;
*Detecting and preventing potential problems in project progress;
*Tuning in consultation with the commodity buyer, from the prices of prototype with supplier and the Project Leader Turbochargers regarding the prototype budget;
*Reporting the status to the Supply Chain Project Leader Turbochargers;
*Keeping track of ‘design changes’ regarding Purchasing Parts during the APQP phase, with the (possible) cost impact;
*Performing other supporting purchasing activities if the manager finds it appropriate.
COMPETENCE
The Project Leader Supply Chain is part of the project team and is responsible for the ‘Supply Chain Management’. They are responsible for all the specific supply chain needs of the project team and will report for each project level to the project leader. They may need to work on several projects simultaneously. They will be accountable for the development of the Supply Chain about one or more of the sales projects. The project Leader Supply Chain will perform independently negotiations within the given power of attorney. All the activities will be, in principle, supervised by the supervisor.
RESPONSIBILITY
*For the supervision and control of all departments required for the complete supply chain;
*For the on time accomplishment of the stated project objectives (supplier selection, supplier nomination, contracting of the supplier, and capacity at the supplier);
*For making sure that materials and services will be available on time so that the internal progress of the project is guaranteed;
*For controlling costs on the product changes, to SOP.
*For the on time anticipation (possible) problems that jeopardize the project objectives;
*For the on time reporting of the problems whose solution will be beyond the sphere of influence of the Project Leader Supply Chain.
*For committing to quality, safety, environmental, health and safety regulations and procedures.
PROFICIENCY IN FOREIGN LANGUAGES
English is required, preferably supplemented with German and/or French. Languages are needed for/to:
*Internal communication (General) Managers;
*Maintaining contacts with suppliers, leading project meetings and discussions with suppliers, customer relations, complaints, discussing performance audits, conducting contact negotiations,etc.
PROJECT LEADERSHIP
The PLSC has the project leadership regarding the development of the Supply Chain for all purchased components required for the project regarding:
*Progress and quality of the project and achieving the project objectives;
*Control of internal staff involved in the development of the supply chain in terms of timing and priorities.
