ESA’s Young Graduate Trainee Programme

The European Space Agency (ESA) is an intergovernmental organisation(*) that offers challenging career opportunities for highly qualified European scientists, engineers and administrators. Its mandate is to promote cooperation among European States, for exclusively peaceful purposes, in Space Research and Technology. ESA’s programmes to develop innovative launchers and spacecrafts for science, telecommunications, navigation and Earth observation are changing the vision of space in Europe. ESA is also a major partner in the International Space Station.

In order to prepare young professionals for future employment in the space industry, ESA offers outstanding recently graduated scientists and engineers a one-year invaluable hands-on professional experience. The Young Graduate Trainee (YGT) selection campaign has now started and we will be recruiting some 107 newly graduates by mid-2017.

You will be based at one of our centres in Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, France and the United Kingdom. As part of a truly international team of Europe’s top experts, you will be working at the forefront of space science and technology, contributing to bring ambitious European space projects to fruition.
