Job description, responsibilities and duties

- Manages the Claims BI Analytics near-shore operation (Claims Analytics; CAPS Development, CAPS RUN; Governance / PM)
- Leads the team to conduct sophisticated claims data mining and analytics investigations to spot underlying root causes on behalf of the Claims Analyst.
- Works closely together with Reserving and Pricing to join forces, learn and improve for cross functional benefits.
- Leads the implementation of new reporting functionality in BI application and successfully roll out to the Claims community world wide.
- Influence Business Units’ decisions aligned with the Global Claims Target operating Model / Blue Print.
- Organizes and participates in difficult Claims audits.
- Develops and strengthens the claims team, ensuring the effective liaison with GI CL Central team and Claims Business Units.
- Works with Business Units relevant stakeholders maintaining and developing relationships with key Claims representatives.
- Collaborating with global counterparts in further development of governance and standards for CAPS application.

- Strong management and leadership qualities
- Excellent analytical capabilities
- Experience in supporting multiple concurrent delivering projects
- Proven track record in using data mining tools and data analysis and predictive analytics
- Excellent English and communication skills;
- Able to work under constant high pressure and high exposure
- Strong technical knowledge of project portfolio management and reporting tools
- Significant experience in the design, development and roll out of data warehouses and Business Intelligence solutions with a high focus on front end tools
- Experience in insurance in pricing, reserving or claims analytics
- Experience in agile IT development methodologies e.g. SCRUM
- Experience in insurance in pricing, reserving or claims analytics is advantage
- Experience in using data mining tools and data analysis and predictive analytics is advantage
- Fully versed in the application of IT, mathematics, statistics and analytics.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft ® Office 2010 Suites (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
- Solid experience in data warehouse and query languages (VBA, C#, SQL)
