Skill Team Leader Production & Cost Engineering w/m

Your Responsibilities:

• Management of the Production & Cost Engineering skill team in compliance with AVL policies, laws and standards that apply to your area of responsibility
• HR planning and personnel deployment
• Recruiting of personnel in cooperation with higher-level departments
• Annual appraisal interview and planning of HR development activities
• Development and provision of the project resources required in your area of responsibility
• Responsible for economical production of all products developed at AVL
• Ensuring correct technical management in your area of responsibility, plus ongoing development of methods and tools
• Supporting strategic development in the higher-level department and derivation of measures from these developments for your own area of responsibility
• Supporting the continuous development of innovation, sales and project processes
• Selection and management of suppliers for your own area responsibility
• Investment and cost center planning and monitoring
• Supporting acquisitions and publications, as also representation of the company in your area of responsibility

Your Profile:

• Mechanical engineering, engineering management graduate (university of technology/university of applied sciences) or similar university qualification
• Completed vocational training in metalwork (toolmaking, CNC engineer, etc.) an advantage
• Several (> 10) years of practical professional experience in the manufacturing and/or assembly of drive components or systems for the automotive sector
• Experienced in work and operations scheduling, preliminary planning of costs and quality assurance
• Proven experience in cost analysis and cost reduction
• Understanding of applicable standards and processes in your area of responsibility (ISO/TS 16949, Lean Manufacturing, TPS, etc.)
• Product expertise with regard to combustion engines, transmissions and battery systems
• Outstanding technical expertise and judgment
• First experience in the management of teams
• Self-assured and confident personality
• Confident in conducting negotiations in English
• High readiness to travel

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act we are obligated to state the intended annual gross remuneration(full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: 80.000,-- EUR. We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
