Chief medical advisor

For our client, an international insurance company, which is providing assistance in a field of travelling and health care, we are searching for a suitable candidate for a position – CHIEF MEDICAL ADVISOR.

Duties include consultations via phone according to the scheduled shifts (24/7). You can work at your own environment – usually 3 calls per day (from medical advisors or call assistance operators), core work are reports and translations, which you can plan flexibly. Part time is also possible. There is no need to be present at the office (which is easily accessible in the centre of Prague in case of meetings) - presence only for the management meetings once in every 14 days – not obligatory, but sometimes you should be there.

Job Description:
- Leading the medical team of advisors (4 doctors and 2 nurses)
- Preparing the shifts of medical team
- Medical evaluation of treatments and expenses from abroad
- Assessment of client´s health condition according to the information received
- Checking incoming medical reports, interpretation of reports
- Monitoring and assessment of the situation in destination
- Medical overview of transport and repatriations
- Passing medical info to the transport providers
- Medical translations
- Medical evaluation of invoices
- Co-operation with Medical Advisors and Medical Consultants, Consultations for Assistance Operators who are dealing with incoming calls from clients in need
- Planning and participation on site team inspections
- Writing final messages and forwarding operators to handle
- Conference calls with the local Healthcare providers
