Job description, responsibilities and duties
Job Summary:
The Solution Analyst is a part of the Procurement BPO Global Commercial team, and supports the BPO Sales team, including Procurement Solution Architects, providing strategic sourcing and negotiation services.
The Solution Analyst has three main responsibilities:
1 - SALES & BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
• Understand and translate buyer requirements into a standard solution offering deal approach leveraging standard process methods, deliverables and the right collection of offerings.
• Preparing the Business Development spend estimate, work plan, resource/sourcing plan.
• Understand and clearly define the scope of the opportunity, that is required to create cost estimates; preparing the cost model estimates working with Service Delivery, Solution Management (if applicable) and CDTS to deliver the defined scope of services.
• Collaborate as a key member of the sales team to represent the solution offering to the client buyer and other internal Accenture groups.
• Manage spend opportunity analysis by leveraging global resources
• Owner of proposal costing and pricing from deal origination until the opportunity is closed as "won" or "lost"
• Manage opportunity administration over SAP
• Support Sourcing & Category Management services during the sales cycle (e.g. scoping workshops, contract redlining discussions etc.)
• Coordinate and respond to inbound commercial requests for category / industry / solution knowledge to support the sales cycle
• General Spend Management Services (SMS) capability decks
• SMS category stats by industry/by region which is not readily available
• Case studies
• Client references / credentials
• Detailed category knowledge / templates at sales stage
• Resource cost rate checks
• Commercial Process Support
• Maintaining standard commercial processes (document management/ Microsoft Project
• Support cross team calls: War Room, Finance / Contract, new business …
2 - DELIVERY SUPPORT:
- Manage hand-off process for sold deals from sales to delivery;
- Channel new staffing request to the correct team members;
- Facilitate the engagement creation in Microsoft Project;
- Ensure delivery teams understand the customer situation, the program goals and the scope of work;
- Support delivery teams during escalations for "scope creep."
- Analyze the contract vs. work being requested and determining the cost implications;
- Facilitate process for Contract Amendments;
- Process exception approval process;
- Scope creeping and escalation (client request vs. contract) - review Scope of Work, facilitate meeting, confirm in / out scope, facilitate solution call with team.
3 - STRATEGIC INITIATIVES:
- Manage Sourcing & Category Management Cost Model design;
- Facilitate meetings for maintaining and updating of assets such as scoping tool and rate changes, contractor delivery team, reporting files;
- Generating and maintaining work instructions for internal processes;
- Other strategic initiatives - participation;
- Facilitate data collection for marketing surveys;
- Enable knowledge documents for category and team experience to larger Accenture organization;
- Provide service descriptions and underlying cost assumptions for standard services;
- Drive continuous improvement efforts for existing solutions/services;
- Provide active input into solution/service innovation;
- Responsible for ongoing efforts to enhance the interaction and communication between commercial and delivery teams.
