Accenture is building a new MPLS based global high capacity, high performing core backbone. There is a requirement to build a new global operational and deployment support team to manage the network on a day to day basis and help with the deployment activities related to the new global backbone.
We are looking for highly motivated individuals to work in this demanding environment. The successful candidate will form part of a core team accountable for the successful day to day proactive management and maintenance of the new WAN backbone and deployment of new clients and initiatives on the new core backbone.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, troubleshoot, deploy/provision of new services/clients and escalate production problems per operations processes, affecting the global MPLS network and systems infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues of WAN devices.
- Troubleshoot QoS related issues on the WAN.
- Implement change requests as per business needs on Cisco routers and switches.
- Work with the vendor\product in delivery of data network service, hardware and software to agreed service levels.
- Supervising responsibilities including interviewing and training/coaching team members.
- Act as internal escalation source in case team members need assistance.
- Provide operational support for WAN in a multi-shift 7 x 24 x 365 Operations Center
- Keep up to date with new products and services that are supported by GNOC.
- Handling and Escalating highly impacting operational issues to upper Management and/or 3rd party vendor escalation
- Any other project specific tasks relating to Operations passed on by the Senior Engineers.
- Perform vendor interaction with internal and external support organizations
- Participate in team projects and project/technology transition
- Identify and resolve chronic issues

Personality requirements and skills
- Expert knowledge in enterprise-level networking with knowledge in TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (OSPF, BGP; MP-BGP, etc.). Specific knowledge of BGP, MP-BGP in an MPLS Environment.
- Strong in-depth knowledge of MPLS networks would be an advantage.
- CCNP/CCDP/CCIP or CCIE Certification
- Exposure to MPLS provisioning tools and configuration based on Cisco platform (ASR 9K) would be an added advantage
- Exposure to Network Security protocols and platforms (Juniper)
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting Cisco routers, Catalyst and IOS switches (ASR 9000 series, Nexus 5K/2K, 65xx, 45xx, and 35xx series).
- Knowledge of VPN technologies and IPSec and GRE protocols.
- Understanding of network protocols like FTP, TFTP, NTP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP
- Organizational and problem-solving skills. Experience in the troubleshooting and performance management of data infrastructure networks
- Customer service skills and client focus
- Familiar with service management processes
- Ability to read and write English with fluent conversational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills including an ability to convey technical information using non-technical language
- Knowledgeable in the following data circuit technologies – ATM, DSL, Frame Relay, Ethernet, ISDN, POS
- Experience working on CoS, QoS, WRED and related quality of service parameters.
- Good understanding of high availability fundamentals (HSRP and VRRP)
- Hands-on experience of LAN switching technologies: STP, Trunking, Etherchannel
- Knowledge of VPN technologies and IPSec and GRE protocols.
- Understanding of network protocols like FTP, TFTP, NTP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP, Syslog; TACACS
- Exposure to UNIX scripting (Solaris or equivalent).
- Exposure to VoIP and traditional voice technologies.
- Exposure to Multicast environment and knowledge of multicast protocols (IGMP, PIM, MLDP)
- Professional certifications, e.g. ITIL, COBIT, relevant technologies
