Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Benchmarking Specialist is responsible for identifying competing spare parts for an Automotive client as well as capturing the required prices across several markets.

Responsibilities include determining part number identification based on available information, using online sources with technical data. The specialist is required to have a solid automotive knowledge to ensure accurate and high quality capture of data. Must be able to take initiative on identifying difficult parts with minimal supervisor support. Responsible for contacting local dealerships to obtain required prices and find alternative methods to ensure price is captured.

  • Accountable for the quality and delivery of their own work
  • Cooperate with team members and team leads and ensure good working relationships

  • Delivers a service to the client in an effective manner
  • Always adheres to contractual service levels across the client base
  • Demonstrates excellent problem solving ability, escalates to the  supervisor when necessary
  • Flexible approach and actively looks for ways to grow skills and experience within the team
  • Ability to work independently in dealing in overcoming issues without supervisor support

Personality requirements and skills

  • High School level acceptable
  • Fluent English
  • Fluent Portuguese
  • Knowledge of Automotive industry is mandatory
  • Interpersonal skills to deal with dealers, service teams, etc.
  • Data processing accuracy, detail oriented
  • User level MS Office
  • Organized, timely, pro-active and highly productive
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Mechanical knowledge of machinery is a definite plus
  • Good team player
  • Strong displayed problem solving and analytical skills
  • Self-Motivated, positive attitude and approach
  • Flexibility to take on additional responsibility and tasks
