Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Dutch Language Translation Team Member is responsible for direct contact with the team in the Netherlands, and aims to provide superior service regarding Dutch language translation tasks (Dutch to English, and English to Dutch). 
Furthermore Dutch Language Translation Team Member can also be requested to be involved in cross-training other colleagues or continuous improvement projects.
 
 
Responsibilities
 
  • Incident translation: translate incoming incidents from Dutch to English, and add the incident to the Incident Management tool (SMS Mercury)
  • Document translation: translate Functional and Technical Designs and documents from English to Dutch or Dutch to English.
  • Building and maintaining Dutch -English dictionary in the language translation tool (Systran)
  • Work strictly with agreed processes and language translation tools
  • Actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team
  • Actively participate in the identification of opportunities for process improvements
  • Be involved in performing internal controls for quality assurance
  • Support and sustain positive work environment that fosters team performance through own work and behaviour
  • Complete special projects as assigned
  • Perform ad hoc and non-operational activities when required

Personality requirements and skills

  • MBO/HBO level of education is most welcome
  • Native speaker level of Dutch
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Experience in customer service environment is a plus
  • Active team player
  • PC savvy - ability to learn and use efficiently various systems
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex issues
  • Excellent client handling skills
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
