Accenture Procurement Operations are seeking a talented Software Category Associate Manager to manage sourcing and contracting of software licenses and services across the EMEA region for Accenture operations and for delivering services to our internal Clients.
The software category associate manager will have responsibility for sourcing and category management activities in the software category in collaboration with the EMEA IT&Telecom teams on behalf of the stakeholders and the Software Category Manager within EMEA countries. You will be expected to understand the client requirements, identify, plan and deliver sourcing initiatives, manage suppliers to ensure optimum performance and take responsibility for delivery against agreed targets for the software category together with the category manager. The software category associate manager will need to work with peers in USA and APAC on larger projects or to take advantage of existing contracts.
Responsibilities:
• Understand clients requirements for the software category and define the procurement strategy to ensure delivery of services in line with expectations
• Proactively work with the stakeholders to identify sourcing areas
• Take responsibility for delivery upon targets
• Undertake strategic sourcing, supplier selection and contract negotiation activities
• Manage the procurement relationship with relevant stakeholders
• Work with the legal team to ensure appropriate contractual terms are implemented with all suppliers
• Operate a supplier management programme to monitor and improve supplier performance where applicable
• Identify opportunities to leverage category expertise and best-practice tools and techniques by building a network within the Procurement Operations community as well as other entities internally

• Strategic sourcing and category management expertise including experience of:
• Managing RFI / RFP / e-Auction projects
• Contract drafting, and contract law
• Strategic supplier management
• International sourcing
• Strong negotiation skills
• Strong client and supplier relationship management skills
• Strong understanding of contractual terms and conditions for software licenses
• Project management skills and confirmed experience
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment in a complex matrix organisation
• Ability to run multiple negotiations at the same time
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to plan, prioritize and deliver own work, sometimes work on short deadlines
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Intermediate level Microsoft office proficiency including expertise in MS Word, Powerpoint and Excel
• Strong English skills, foreign languages are a plus
