Your Roles and Responsibilities:

    1) Monitor, troubleshoot, and escalate production problems per operations processes, affecting the global MPLS network and systems infrastructure
 2) Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues of WAN devices.
 3) Troubleshoot QoS related issues on the WAN.
 4) Implement change requests as per business needs on Cisco routers and switches.
 5) Work with the vendor\product in delivery of data network service, hardware and software to agreed service levels.
 6) Supervising responsibilities including interviewing and training/coaching team members.
 7) Act as internal escalation source in case team members need assistance.
 8) Provide operational support for WAN in a multi-shift 7 x 24 x 365 Operations Center
 9) Keep up to date with new products and services that are supported by GNOC.
10) Handling and Escalating highly impacting operational issues to upper  Management and/or 3rd party vendor escalation
11) Any other project specific tasks relating to Operations passed on by the Senior Engineers.
 12) Perform vendor interaction with internal and external support organizations
 13) Participate in team projects and project/technology transition
 14) Monitor, troubleshoot, and escalate production problems affecting the global network and systems infrastructure
 15) Identify and resolve chronic issues

University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

     Experience in the troubleshooting and performance management of data infrastructure networks  Customer service skills and client focus
 Familiar with service management processes
 Ability to read and write English with fluent conversational skills
 Professional certifications, e.g. ITIL, COBIT, relevant technologies
 Strong communication and interpersonal skills including an ability to convey technical information using non-technical language
 Hands-on experience troubleshooting Cisco routers, Catalyst and IOS switches (9000 series, Nexus series, 65xx, 45xx, and 35xx series).
 Knowledgeable in the following data circuit technologies – ATM, DSL, Frame Relay, Ethernet, ISDN, POS
 Expert knowledge in enterprise-level networking with knowledge in TCP/IP, Routing Protocols (OSPF and BGPv4, etc.). Specific knowledge of BGP, OSPF and IP protocols in an MPLS Environment.
 Experience working on CoS, QoS, WRED and related quality of service parameters.
 Good understanding of high availability fundamentals (HSRP and VRRP)
 Hands-on experience of LAN switching technologies: STP, Trunking, Etherchannel
 Knowledge of VPN technologies and IPSec and GRE protocols.
 Understanding of network protocols like FTP, TFTP, NTP, SNMP, DNS, DHCP
 Organizational and problem-solving skills
 Exposure to UNIX scripting (Solaris or equivalent).
 Exposure to VoIP and traditional voice technologies.
 Exposure to Multicast environment and knowledge of multicast protocols (IGMP, PIM)
 CCNP/CCDP/CCIP/CCIE Certification
 Exposure to Network Security protocols and platforms (Juniper)
