Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

1.To efficiently respond to customer requests for Freight Forwarding services to provide cost effective and efficient solutions
2.Ensure compliance of standard operating procedures
3.Maintain quality standards and excellent customer service
4.Translate, analyse and deliver customer requirements through effective operations
5.Maintain a charter supplier database ensuring that there are a range of cost effective options to enable the company to deliver customer requirements
6.Manage suppliers effectively to minimise cost
7.Ensure that all reporting procedures are complied with and that all charter paperwork is accurate and efficiently handled
8.Ensure that profit is maximised at all opportunities without compromising quality
9.To achieve set KPIs for the department
10.Efficient and accurate administration - Updating status ,P.O.Ds, Invoices, Quotes etc

Personality requirements and skills

1.minimum 3 years experience in a European Freight Forwarding role
2.European geographical knowledge
3.Commercial acumen and ability to understand how to maximise profit and maintain quality in the charter business
4.Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
5.Excellent communications skills, verbal and written
6.Ability to solve problems and good analytical skills
7.Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the charter sector
8.Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
9.Organised and able to deal with a high volume of customer requests
10.Ability to work on own imitative and to take responsibility and ownership to deliver quality service to the customer
11.Excellent IT skills
12.Experience of working in a fast paced and dynamic environment
