Job description, responsibilities and duties

International translation agency seeks a Translation Project Manager with linguistic background for its Bratislava office. We are a leader in the translation and localisation sector, with more than 17 years’ international experience, and a presence in over 40 countries. Every year, we produce more than 7,000 translations in 46 different language combinations. That’s over 30 million words translated every year. 30 million words that have helped companies promote their business worldwide. 30 million words that have transcended linguistic and cultural barriers.

We believe in the power of translation, and we hope you do too. We are looking for an enthusiastic person to join our young and dynamic team in Bratislava. You will be the regular contact person for our clients and work hand-in-hand with a network of linguists.

This position is suitable for fresh graduates and for candidates with 1-2 years of work experience.

Project Management tasks:
• organising translation projects from beginning to end
• monitoring the translation process
• checking the quality of deliverables with translation quality assurance tools
• managing client/supplier queries
• tracking all work allocations

Linguistic tasks:
• preparing smaller translations into Slovak
• proofreading external translations in Slovak
• checking translation quality with translation quality assurance tools (in Slovak, German and English)
• running automated quality assurance checks on various target language translations
• post-translation and miscellaneous linguistic tasks (editing, layout check, entering client corrections, glossary building, etc.)

Minimum requirements:
• university degree (preferably in translation studies)
• Slovak native speaker
• excellent English knowledge
• confident PC skills

Preference will be given to applicants with active German knowledge.
