Logistics Sourcing Specialist

For our EMEA headquarters in Prague (Zizkov, P3) we are looking for:
LOGISTICS SOURCING SPECIALIST
This position is part of the Sourcing department and presents a great opportunity for someone with a desire to develop their skills in several business areas. Successful candidate will need to be equally comfortable analyzing data and working with people.
Sourcing Specialist will work in a fast paced environment and will need to possess solid time management and follow-up skills. This is a global role and candidate will work with Allyn teams located in the US, China and Europe on a daily basis.
Candidate is expected to develop into a versatile specialist capable of managing global projects, leading negotiations with providers and actively identifying opportunities to improve current processes.

Primary responsibilities for this role include:
• Analysis of ship volume, spend, frequency etc. using MS Excel
• Participate on calls and negotiations with forwarders – occasionally needed to stay late in order to have a call with forwarders based in the US or Australia
• Performance measurement of freight forwarders – review of KPI reports, preparation for monthly and quarterly calls with forwarders
• Identification of potential providers - establish initial contact/face-to-face meeting and evaluate their capabilities as far as coverage, services provided, commercial terms, pricing etc.
• Preparation of global and regional RFQs for air, ocean and ground – market research when applicable, creating RFQ templates, gathering business requirements from customer, managing distribution and follow-up with carriers, analyze responses and provide recommendations to customer
• Work with operation teams on resolving issues with forwarders as well as working on SOPs and other process improvements
• Participating on regular calls with the customer, preparing status updates and presentations – e.g. providing weekly update of all open items, presenting an overview of RFQ responses/results
• Daily communication with the customer, providers and operation teams – spoken English is a must

We are looking for:
• Professionally oriented candidates with a university/high school degree
• Strong analytical skills with working knowledge of analytical tools (MS Excel)
• Very good command of English. Other EMEA languages welcome
• Professional presentation and communication skills, strong customer oriented
• Experience with negotiation and sourcing activities - is advantage
• Knowledge/experience in logistics/transportation modes, markets and service providers - is advantage
