Job description, responsibilities and duties
For our top client / partner, an international digital security company providing software applications, secure personal devices such as smart cards and tokens, and managed serviceswe are seeking a qualified Tester / Validator.
Altersis. s.r.o. is a part of Altersis group based in France and we specialize in services such as: R&D outsourcing, embedded software, scientific computing and engineering services.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Core mission:
- Responsible for product verification and validation (including customer/supplier acceptance)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- As part of the R&D development team you will be responsible for product verification and validation (including customer/supplier acceptance)
- You will be responsible for entire validation process of our products (applications, libraries, system and solutions; either purely software or combining software and hardware).
- You will work with Project Leader you will analyze the subject, define a test strategy and prepare the test plan.
- You will execute the Test Plan and present the Test Results.
- You will document your activity in form of Validation Strategy and Test Plan.
- You will be also responsible for selection of tools and/or development of them if non-existing.
- You will be responsible for development of automated tests.
- As integral part of the development team you will cooperate very closely with developers in order to reproduce, identify and isolate the issues.

- University graduate, ideally in Information Technology or Computer Science is preferred
EXPERIENCE:
- Very good level of English (daily EN communication with clients and internal)
- At least 3 years of work experience in Software Validation as a Tester/ Validator/ QA Eng.
COMPETENCIES:
- Excellent knowledge in validation methodologies, processes and tools
- Experience in web application testing
- Experience in application deployment (at least with one java application server)
- Good knowledge of SQL and Database servers
- Good understanding of web technologies and applications servers (HTTP, HTML/XML, JSP, Jboss, WebSphere, GlassFish…)
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:
- Very good analytical mind, problem solving skills, able and willing to learn
- Detailed oriented, able to cope with and manage multiple tasks
- Customer and service orientation
- Communicative, open-minded, friendly and a team player
