Job description, responsibilities and duties

This role is responsible for providing Network Engineer support to the Mobility Network Provisioning Center (MNPC) to perform network translations on the following mobility network equipment: BTS/NodeB/eNodeB, BSC/RNC, MSC/MME, OSS/BSS, MSN, SIAD and DACS. Network equipment consists of the following vendor types: Ericsson, ALU/Nokia, Cisco and Tellabs. Engineers perform remote data translations on varying types of equipment and technologies (2G, 3G, LTE) to support AT&T wireless infrastructure. Position includes the engineer to create and document methods and procedures, work within larger project teams and create test/configuration scripts prior to implementation in the mobility network. The engineers are required to attend project calls and perform off hours work.

Responsibilities:
• Work from detailed MOPs to perform network translations on BTS/NodeB/eNodeB, BSC/RNC, MSC/MME, OSS/BSS, MSN, SIAD and DACS
• Create configuration scripts prior to implementation in the mobility network
• Perform pre and post checks of network elements to ensure network health and reliability
• Work with internal/external teams and attend project calls

Educational Specialization

IT, telecommunication - advantage

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• IP experience preferred (CCENT/CCNA equivalent knowledge)
• Strong communication skills
• 1 or more year’s mobility or IP network experience preferred
• Bachelor Degree required
• Well versed in Windows and MS Office applications
• Linux experience
• Scripting/Programming skills
• Strong communication skills
• 2G/3G/LTE technologies
• IP Transport.
