Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Responsible for Monitoring, Analysis, and Resolution of faults occurring in Network Elements that are managed by the Mobility Service Ops organization. The supported elements include: GGSNs, SGWs, PGWs, Routers, Switches, VPN Concentrators, Load Balancers, Terminal Servers, Circuits, Windows Application Servers, and Unix Application Servers.
• Performs fault isolation, validation, and some repair for supported network nodes, escalating and tracking advanced repair to specialized teams.
• Provides status of data circuits and escalates repair of circuits to responsible 3rd parties (RBOC/CLEC).
• Responsible for the rapid assessment of both the nature and severity of customer problems to evaluate appropriate response, engages various support organizations to provide that response.
• Assists and supports the engaged support organizations to reduce duration and severity of customer impact and/or loss of redundancy.

Information about the selection process

Network Technician tracking the Mobility Core network in National Data Centers. Brno team is responsible for assistance during Maintenance Window, where Tier 2 team are performing changes in the network. Tracking all work by using AOTS-M as a ticketing system and Netcool as alarming tool gives employee a view of current issues in the network.

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Educational Specialization

Science, Operations, Engineering, Management or Systems Integration preferred or equivalent related network experience

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Technical knowledge of IP-based networks, systems and applications to include at least one or more of the following: IP Routing, Routing Protocols, VPN, GGSN, EPC, DNS, Femtocell, Mobile Data, Data Applications, SMS, GPRS, UMTS, and/or LTE.
• Typically a BS degree in Science, Operations, Engineering, Management or Systems Integration preferred or equivalent related network experience.
• Candidate must have strong communications and troubleshooting skills.
• Candidate should maintain up to date knowledge of the AT&T's production network configuration and third party apps.
• Previous experience with phone support preferred (Call Center/Tier 2 Escalations, CCNA preferred.
