Job description, responsibilities and duties
- Responsible for ensuring high availability and performance of Microsoft and eventually other DBMS
- Proactively monitor database systems to ensure services with minimum downtime
- Plan for future database growth, estimate future server and storage needs
- Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include roll-out and upgrades
- 24x7 support (On-Call duty)

Personality requirements and skills
- Experience with architecture and implementing high availability/data redundancy scenarios, such as database mirroring, replication, clustering and log shipping, AlwaysOn
- In depth SQL Server database administration experience
- Flexibility to adopt other DBMS including non-relational
- Excellent understanding of indexing and query performance
- Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving skills
- Practical experience in monitoring and tuning databases to provide high availability
- Communicative knowledge of English
- Knowledge of Czech
- Education in IT is an advantage
- Analytical skills, good communicative skills, willingness to learn new things, proactive approach, carefulness
