Quality Director

• Develops factory quality indicator and performance management system that identifies top opportunities for improvement and reports information weekly.
• Manages and controls fulfillment of manufacturing specifications of each product. Fulfillment of specifications is basic condition for adherence of required quality level.
• Manages analyses of root causes in processes and products, suggests and implements corrective and preventive actions.
• Has right and obligation to stop manufacturing in case of serious reasons that would lead to productions & shipment of low quality products.
• Is responsible for the returns process, incoming inspection process, in process quality control, and out-going inspection teams.
• Ensures the free flow of information from Customer issues back to the factory and sub-tier suppliers enabling the identification of top issues and the ready availability of supporting data required to drive corrective action plans and validate effectiveness of resolution.
• Drives and coaches problem solving and issue response teams.
• Sets goals for performance of new products through the phase gate process and guides the development of Quality Functional Strategies, manufacturing control plans and risk mitigation measures.
• Ensures Customer specific requirements are fully understood and reflected in all new product Introduction (NPI) functional area plans.
• Manages the change control process ensuring procedures and work instructions related to the site QMS are clearly aligned with QMS requirements (e.g. the sections of the ISO 9001 standard), are not duplicated or difficult to locate, and are fully trained and deployed. Curbs the development of redundant or unnecessary procedures.
• Plans and executes internal audit program to ISO9001, ISO 14001 and other management systems and runs management review for site goal setting and quality system performance review.
• Plans and executes internal audit program for other management systems such as Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), RoHS etc.
• Drives the integration of the Power Solutions QMS with Supplier QMS, ensuring all requirements are adequately reflected in documented procedures and covered by an audit and performance tracking, and QMS management system.
• Is the point of contact for Customer audits and visits, and owns driving mutually agreed corrective actions and improvements.
• Leads and develops the Quality team in the factory and is responsible for the Quality budget and annual report.
