Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
• To ensure effective monthly and quarterly production, management and reporting of all financial results of the European schools.
• To ensure that company accounting policies and procedures are followed.
• To assist schools and prepare budgets and forecasts.
• To track capital expenditure.
• To provide financial and KPI analysis for the Regional Finance Director and Regional Managing Director as required
• Financial analysis and acquisition modelling
• Acquisition accounting and integration work
Month-end reporting
Preparation and production of monthly consolidated management report for the region and review of the individual management reports within the schools respecting the group deadlines.
Conducting month end balance sheet reviews and reconciliations for the schools including general ledger reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, cash reconciliations etc.
Review month-end school results for accuracy.
Policies and procedures
Review of school procedures to ensure that proper accounting and financial records and systems are maintained within the schools in line with the group policies and procedures.
Compliance
Budgets, forecast, analysis
Investigate variances against budgets and forecasts and provide analysis of differences for the schools and the Regional Finance Director.
Assist the Schools and the Regional Finance Director in the preparation of annual budgets, regular forecasts and cash flow forecasts.
Other tasks
Support the process of capital expenditure tracking.
Any other related project work.
Meeting tight deadlines for management reporting set by the group.
To support the finance & accounting staff within the schools to enable effective day to day processing and controls.
Any task as deemed reasonable by the Regional Finance Director.
Financial analysis and acquisition modelling
To support the preparation of financial appraisals for capital expenditure proposals
