Job description, responsibilities and duties

PURPOSE OF ROLE :
Under general direction, will manage/administer the translation engagements, secures Quality Assurance, translates documents corresponding to language proficiencies and ensures continuous improvement of the translation process and technology with specific focus on excellence in customer satisfaction, financials, resource delivery, service delivery, and business expansions.

To manage/administer projects from client engagement to delivery
Translate, abstracts, proofread and edit all kinds of documents based from language capabilities
Ensure high translation quality, consistency and profitability in every translation services for any account
Build a strong working relationship with clients to achieve Win/Win results and also able to satisfy clients that require extraordinarily high service levels
Fully understand business requirements and follow all steps of the translation process
Recommend translation strategy and continuous improvement practices
Maintain proper documentation of all contracts, agreed processes and other related key operating requirements and support
Ensure that all external and internal client related issues are addressed promptly and to provide root cause analysis for each issues
Monitor and evaluate Translators’ and Language-Partners/Agencies’ performance
Maintain the integrity and usability of the Project Management and CAT software (report immediately any software issue to support; return licenses, when not in use)
Maintains the Translation Memory database
Ensure high translation quality, consistency and profitability for every translation project
Coordinates with a team of translation service providers to realize the business results in terms of cost, site delivery & timeliness, quality and other KPI's agreed upon with the clients
Secure Quality Assurance and ensure standards are kept at desired levels
Observe and ensure compliance with Company policies and programs
Support global, regional and local rolled out engagement activities (trainings, surveys, integrity, safety etc.)
Achieve all KPIs as specified in the contracts with clients
Ensure prompt submission/delivery of all reports and other project deliverables agreed upon with the clients

English - Upper intermediate (B2) or German - Upper intermediate (B2) or French - Upper intermediate (B2) or Italian - Upper intermediate (B2) or Spanish - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

Minimum of 4 years of work experience with at least 1 year in directly related field
Incorporate an owner's mentality, responsible for managing all aspects of the operations, including support services, quality workmanship and overall budget administration
Work with clients, Language Center team and management to continually look for ways to improve service quality, service ratings and leverage opportunities
Analyse the translation process and technology (including, but not limited to Computer Aided Translation) and continuously research for improvements in the process and technology
Proficiency in English and at least one of the following languages: German, French, Italian or Spanish
Excellent interpersonal, relationship management, and consultation skills required
Must possess leadership skills
Proficiency in translation techniques is an advantage
Experience in lease abstraction is an advantage
Must be well-organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks
Ability to work independently and exhibit a superior customer service attitude
Superior oral and written communication skills required
Software competency:
High proficiency: MS Office, Project Management software and CAT Translation tools
Basic understanding: Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and publishing software (InDesign)
