Job description, responsibilities and duties

This role is part of the EMEA Global Operations team and its key responsibility is the ownership of the transition management function for a particular Line of Business(s). Collaboration with your counterparts in Global Operations, Sales, Marketing and Finance is critical to the success of this role.

Using a combination of general product knowledge and good data manipulation skills, the general theme of this role is to focus on working with the Sales Segment Planning team to plan and manage product transitions in a timely and effective manner.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will be responsible for transition management for a particular LOB including related peripherals.

Communication and Analysis
Provide the Last time buy volumes to our Supply Chain to meet Sales requirements.
Historical analysis of product demand profiles and trend analysis of previous product transitions
Incorporate future assumptions from Product management in terms of product positioning, promotions and merchandizing.
Analyse the Cost & Pricing outlook as it impacts the transition.
Make last time buy recommendation to Sales Segments and agree on final recommendation via consensus planning review.
Align key stakeholders (EGOP, Product Marketing, Brand managers, Pricing, Sales) to the transition plan and agree a consensus plan that meets the business requirements.
Ensure our Supply Chain and Procurement organizations meet their objectives in terms of forecasts placed in line with supplier lead-times.
Manage the Reservation process via PTM tool.
Report out to EGOP, Sales, Marketing and Finance on the Transition status and drive demand shaping actions based on the trajectory of the transition.
Ensure that SKU’s and EOL’d on time via the EOL Countdown tool in Gii and messaged accordingly.
Drive and manage cross segment transfers where required to assist with segments EOML plans, ensuring approvals are in place and liability transfers are complete.
Analyse EMEA liability reports issued by WWP, allocating excess where required through waterfall analysis and cross segment negotiations.

Personality requirements and skills

- The person requires 4+ years experience in marketing, operations and/or financial management, as well as excellent forecasting, data modeling and communication skills.
- Strong business and finance acumen along with extensive and in-depth knowledge of planning, data analysis and recommendation setting.
- Excellent product and technical knowledge across the PC sector with the ability to leverage that knowledge to enhance the planning process.
- The person should have solid analytical skills to resolve ad-hoc issues and adjust to the dynamic requirements of our customer and supplier base.
- The person must work with several information systems so a high level of proficiency is required in spreadsheet and database analysis tools, specifically MS Excel & PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present to senior management teams across the business.
- Is able to work autonomously with considerable latitude to meet and beat the objectives of the role.
- Individual expected to operate at various levels of the organization and be able to do so at various levels. Once the overall strategy and milestone deliverables are agreed, job holder is expected to be able to plan activities and achieve the role objectives.
- Must be a team player who has ability to be flexible and develop in the role.
- Degree and/or MBA is any discipline (Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or related field).
