Job description, responsibilities and duties

For our client, well-known automotive brand, we are looking for candidate with senior experiences in the field of collections.

Position Summary:
Credit control manager is accountable for the entire credit granting and collection process, including consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customers and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potencial customers with goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses.


Responsibilities
- lead, coach & motivate the credit and collection team (2 emloyees in CZ and HUN, 0 employees in SK)
- measure department performance with appropriate matrix
- manage relations with internal customers and external partners (collection agencies, law agencies etc.)
- maintain the local credit policy
- recommend changes in the credit policy to senior management
- create and maintain the credit scoring model
- manage customer credit files (customers=companies)
- monitor the credit granting, credit review and udpating process
- accept or reject the staffs credit recommendations
- analyse and investigate the largest customer credit applications
- personaly visit the largest customer to establish relations
- monitor periodic credit reviews
- running daily, weekly, monthly reporting activities
- working on permanent process improvement and development
- supporting month end closing activities , including some accounting activities and GL reconcilations
- supporting external audit trials
- interlock with accounting and audit on qualitative assurance
- calculation of Bad Debts provision considering both risk and tax
aspects.

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

- 4 y. experience on similar position or as Team leader/Senior in credit control field
- University degree
- English advanced. Slovak/Czech native
- confident, organised personality with a good business judgement to work in credit control not scared from the direct contact with internal/external customers
- skills preffered: analytical, fair, thorough, open-minded, friendly and assertive
- it is needed to have enough confidence to deal with uncomfortable situations that may arise with clients
- the ability to work in a team as well as individually
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- good attention to detail
- the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- good IT skills
