Job description, responsibilities and duties
Role Statement:
• Responsible for material requirements planning, purchasing and expediting efforts for warehouses of the EMEA Service Supply Chain network to meet customer needs and Logistics objectives.
• Support service parts operations on inventory issues and coordinate continuous development of EMEA spares inventory management.
• Monitor and take corrective action to continuously improve parts availability, processes, and customer service levels, focusing on Inventory turnovers (ITO) with focus on critical spares.
• Communicate with our service operations of Market Units, manufacturing operations as well as suppliers, Logistics personnel, especially Service Spares Order Processing team and Tech Support.
• Responsible for most complex and problematic commodity / suppliers.
Key Duties:
• Define quantities to be ordered for Buy to Stock parts, issue purchase orders and follow up delivery considering also material demand.
• Responsible for operational purchasing of parts that are on order (for spares central warehouse and also to support local purchasing of Market Units).
• Communicate urgent requirements to suppliers and expedite urgent orders.
• Assure push out of purchase orders when needed, without affecting service level of our customer.
• Track slow moving material and propose solutions.
• Maintain ERP system i.e., lead-times, minimum order quantities, safety stock, re-order point, replace and obsolete parts and order parameters and master data.
• Analyze Economic Order Quantities (EOQ) and suppliers’ service levels to optimize inventory levels, total costs of ownership and freight costs.
• Maintain inventory control policies and procedures for service parts planning.
• Work closely with Commodity Managers and Production Supply Chain to find opportunity to reduce capital cost and purchase price.
• Measure trends, analyze root causes, and take proactive, cross-functional measures to improve results.
• Communicate with service central warehouse and Service Operations of Market Units to assure correct and timely reception of parts from suppliers.
• Ensure that any activity, task and responsibility required by role in terms of the International Trade Compliance Regulation is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company ITC certification program itself.
