Job description, responsibilities and duties
Hotel System Specialist will ensure partner connectivity and integration solutions are compliant with business and technical expectations, maintain in depth knowledge on Expedia lodging systems & integration solutions to support internal and external stakeholders, manage at scale centrally integrated connectivity partners for onboarding, communication, and global projects and feature enhancement rollout.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the connectivity alias and provide support to new partners developing to Expedia public solutions
• Support new partners in the development and testing of integration solutions and ongoing maintenance of solutions
• Maintain partner facing documentation, FAQ and forum on connectivity website
• Perform testing & certification test cases for all connectivity solutions in lab and production and respond to questions and resolve issues related to specifications
• Maintain Partner Connectivity configuration and Maintain and report on Partner Monitoring configuration
• Maintain in depth knowledge on Expedia lodging systems & connectivity solutions including recording, questionnaires & partner specific documentation
• Adjust and manage test plans & schedules
• Deliver and enhance tools for self-service testing , certification and engage partners partner engagement on using self-service tools
Role in Business Process:
• Ensure that standard business requirements provided by lodging connectivity management team are met and document technical limitations/ issues related to these requirements
• Support all teams in building a stable test environment required by HOTEL SYSTEMS SPECIALIST team to achieve all task
• Ensure all test tools, test plans, and related documentation cover all the latest Expedia connectivity features and are maintained up to date at all times
• Build and maintain partner specific technical knowledge base
• Build required partner monitoring and reporting in test environments
• Once an agreement on applicable test plan/cases is reached, the HOTEL SYSTEMS SPECIALIST will execute the scenarios and communicate clear test results to external partners and internal stakeholders
• Based on final test results, HOTEL SYSTEMS SPECIALIST makes the decision or recommendation to the respective Lodging connectivity mangement team on deployment to production of new partner code tested
• HOTEL SYSTEMS SPECIALIST has to ensure that the test environment meets requirements and communicate issues to internal stake holders
• Define technical requirements for test and certifications internally
• Define technical requirements for self-service tools
