Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Operations Manager, for Global Supply Operations, within Expedia, is responsible for leading the Lodging Operations team in call center environment supporting Hoteliers within EMEA, to resolve escalated concerns and inventory management. Primary customers are Brand Customers, Sales team (Market Management) and hotel partners. The Daily Operations Manager reports to the Director, Lodging Support Services EMEA - Global Supply Operations department supporting all Expedia brands and locations.

Personality requirements and skills

Job requirements:

1. 5 or more years managing an operation of similar size
2. Experience leading a team of front line managers and an overall operations team of between 130 and 170 heads
3. Experience in Managing Multi-lingual team members/processes
4. Think big, deliver big, but scrutinize even the smallest details
5. Responsible for providing the overall management and direct leadership to the operations team
6. Used to work in a fast-paced environment where every day brings unique new challenges and new opportunities
7. The job holder will be responsible for implementing, managing and reporting through Metrics, Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators
8. Achieve operational excellence and drive process improvement in our service level agreements (SLAs) for all processing activities
9. Cross-team coordination, project management and executive level presentation skills will be key to success
10. Jobholder should have excellent business and communication skills and be able to work with senior management globally, site peers and EU wide business stakeholders
11. Overseeing and developing employee performance and process improvement activities
12. Play a critical role in building management depth by providing guidance and mentorship to all levels of leadership within your organizational units, as well as serving as an outstanding role model.
13. Develop employees and their skill sets to expand the team capabilities and provide growth opportunities for future leaders
14. The manager's success will be measured by their ability to drive operational efficiencies across all processing areas whilst improving internal and external customer experience.
