Job description, responsibilities and duties

Job Purpose:
The management and execution of infrastructure projects, typically involving the development and implementation of infrastructure components to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilizing the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.
The overall project is to implement a consolidated resource scheduling tool for conference, video conferencing and ordering of services for meetings and events.

Solution Architect Responsibilities:
- Lead and perform the Technical stream activities in designing and implementing “to be” IT Architecture for the Enhanced Resource Scheduling solution including the functional and design specifications
- Organize, structure and drive technical alignment meetings with technical service area experts and service managers
- Align with interfacing technical teams and projects to evaluate impact and assess and mitigate risks
- Analyze and assess the implications of the technical implementation and estimate the resources required to realize the proposed technical solution
- Define test strategy, participate on testing, collect test results, create reports
- Develop all official Technical Documentation and supporting installation documentation for qualification within the project for the service area.
- Ensure that the defined processes and their tools align with the needs of the organization and demonstrate the impact of procedures and their effect on the organizational unit.
- Communicates, tracks, and reports progress of the implementation to the project manager and service managers

Skills:
- Fluent spoken and written English is a must
- Senior technical expert with team leadership skills, workshop moderation skills, high-level knowledge of AD, GDDB, Microsoft Exchange, Mobility, and Networking
- Excellent technical and analytical skills to analyze issues and use judgment to make decisions as well as creativity in presenting alternative and practical solutions
