Job description, responsibilities and duties
JOB PURPOSE:
The role of the GIS PO Administrator for Global Vendor Purchase Orders is to support GIS Service Lines and GIS Finance in performing the Purchase Order process from the allocation of the global demand to the level of the local sites (Billable Legal Entities (BLA)) until the Purchase Order closing and act as an expert of this Purchase Order process.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Pragmatic, process oriented person with excellent communication skills able to deal with customers from all over the world
2. Experienced with Ariba and E-shop system as well as SAP ERP
3. Support GIS Service Lines and GIS Finance in allocating the global demand from Global Vendor service providers to the local sites (Billable Legal Entities (BLA)) by translating the guidelines from the Global BPAs into Purchase Order proposals to the BLA and ensure the exact implementation of the Purchase Order proposals in the BLA. * All Purchase Order are closed in time and according Novartis rules
* Clear and smooth communication in writing and verbally
* Recognized as senior business partner for Global Vendor PO process administration
Technical / Professional Knowledge and Skills:
Finance expertise:
Budgeting, cost management, controlling, accounting Coordinate planning and analysis process between corporate and business partners Promote challenging targets to optimize profitability Identify key business drivers and trends and propose action plans to enhance performance.
Business partnering:
Experience in managing the matrix Ability to communicate with senior management Understands business requirements and needs of PO process Respond effectively to business partner’s needs and requests in a timely manner.
