Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

- Act collaboratively as a part of the globally IT operation team;
- Resolve at the deskside IT fault incidents which are not resolved either remotely or by telephone. This will include
- Software configuration;
- Software re-load;
- User 'how do I' queries;
- Limited support of business applications (re-load where image exists);
- Hands and eyes for remote support;
- Printer/scanner/fax functionality;
- Physical checks, i.e. cables and connectivity;
- Re-boot/hard reset;
- Restore manufacturer's defaults.
- VoIP handsets configuration
- Provide Installations, Moves and Changes (IMACs)
- IMAC requests only cover the Business As Usual (BAU) installation, move, addition or change of Standard Operating Environment (SOE) desktop equipment consisting of that desktop unit and the related patching and cabling in so far as the connection to the core LAN infrastructure e.g.
- Supply and installation of new PC and/or VoIP handsets;
- Rebuild PC;
- Deliver and install a printer/scanner/fax (or other PC peripheral)
- Install software
- Moving a PC or peripheral (CD/DVD-RW, scanner, printer) from one location to another.
- Adding a device to a PC e.g. scanner, memory, DVD/CD-RW,
- Removing kit no longer required – either to store or to disposal agent.
- Check location of asset.
- Re-asset tag and report to Service Desk.
- Simple LAN cable fixes, patching
- Disposal of outdated equipment in compliance with all statutory disposal requirements. This includes data wiping if requested.
- Inventory tracking and documentation updates
- Maintain and share all relevant technical and design documents, including inventory records and keep them up-to-date;
- Participate on projects in the desktop area;
- Work with 3rd parties where selected by Acision;
- Collaborate with 3rd parties and/or other team members to ensure Acision strategy is being implemented;
- Provide user support and resolution to assigned incidents;
- Actively participate on team meetings;
- Maintain positive relationship with clients (internal or external), the remainder of the ICT team and 3rd parties;
- On-going self-analysis of the efficiency of internal processes and suggesting improvements;
- Asset Managemtn owner

- Open purchase order of IT asset
- preform asset count
- work closly with the ITAM team
- work with system team (Network, Microsoft, Unix, storage etc) on relevent projects and support them when needed

Personality requirements and skills

Education:
- A degree or equivalent – ideally in IT ,Electronics & Communications engineering with industry certifications
-advantage cartification CCNA,CCNP,CCSA,CCSE,MCSE;
Professional Experience:
- About 5-6 years PC technician experience in a global company with complex enviornment
- knowladge in systems & network in a dynamic environment – advantage
- support/troubleshooting ,basic UNIX skills desirable
- Knowledge/certification about ITIL processes & working
Personal Attributes:
- Excellent English speaking and writing - Must
- Ability to work independently as part of a regional/global team and play part towards achievement of overall task
- Well developed ability to prioritise and manage time effectively
- Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical staff
- Ability to cope under high levels of constant pressure
- Servicability skills – to understand customer issues and problems
- Good communication skills – especially written
