Job description, responsibilities and duties

For my renowned client, a multinational corporation with a multicultural service delivery centre in Prague, I am looking for an experienced Revenue Recognition & Legal Entity Senior Advisor whose main focus will be on providing senior-level advisory to the teams across the organization.

Your main responsibilities:
Revenue recognition guidance, policies, procedures (helping to set up contract conditions with regards to the desired revenue recognition)
Review of key accounts revenue recognitions
Focus on in-country support where benefit exists due to local regulations (no need of knowledge of regulations of specific countries)
Management of statutory compliance, regulatory reporting
Assets impairment
Legal entity pre-tax earnings and tax expense forecast and accounting
Local legal and statutory reporting
Statutory/GAAP adjustments
Corporate external statutory reporting
Preparation and filing of statutory statements
Internal controls compliance reporting
Internal controls remediation planning
SOX reviews (check SOX questionnaires submitted by all departments, check compliance to SOX standards, investigate possible discrepancies)

YOUR PROFILE:
Proficient (advanced or near-native-speaker level) English
University degree in Finance/Accounting/Legal
15 to 20 years of proven experience and strong track record in delivering high added value
Advanced global revenue recognition experience and US GAAP knowledge (controller, accountant), strong in understanding of US GAAP policies, able to research on US GAAP
Experience with in-country support when benefit exists due to local regulation
Experience with review of key accounts recognition
Ability to understand implications of different contract conditions to revenue
Strong statutory accounting experience
Internal controls compliance experience
Experience with external audit
