Mainframe DB2 System Engineer – up to 70K CZK

For my client, a renowned multinational organization serving international clients worldwide, I am looking for Mainframe DB2 System Engineers who will be located in Prague and cooperate with worldwide teams on migrating/transfering and primarily setting up of the future extension and growth of the current system.

Your proactive and self-starting contributions will be highly valued and appraised.

Responsibilities:
- Senior level infrastructure technology engineer experienced with DB2 subsystems.
- Responsible for the installation and solutions for IBM and ISV software tools that comprise
the DB2 infrastructure and toolsets used to support the environment.
- application & system performance tuning (2nd level)
- Batch support in case of failure / database recovery (2nd Level)
- Test streams
- Database Mgmt Tool Support / Maintenance / Installation
- DBMS Performance Tuning
- Disaster Recovery Planning
- Technical Consulting/Project management

Experience Required : +3 years in a similar position
Skills & Languages:
- Strong knowledge of Cics, z/OS Operating System and related subsystems
- General DB2 Skills (Sysadm, dbadm, datasharing, disaster recovery, appl.recovery, system performance, appl performance, health check)
- Assembler programming
- ISQL (CA Insight prog lang.)
- ISPF/REXX programming
- JCL, SQL, QMF, SMP/E
- RACF/Security concept
- DASD/SMS concept

Fluent English, no Czech/Slovak needed.

Other requirements(not mandatory):
- Cobol programming, TWS/OPC handling, ACF2,SAS programming, C+ programming, DB2 connect on Unix, DB2 UDB on AIX/Windows
