Remote Software Engineer - zSystems

Join the Brno team even remotely to guide the direction, design, and implementation of technologies for Kernel Virtual Machines! You’ll join a global team to work on a project that is at the center of our software development life cycle under a contract for the fixed term of three years.


Position tasks:
• KVM development and maintenance – guide, design and implement the solutions
• Initial functional testing before sending to QA – bug submitting
• Improvement of the current systems and frameworks
• Optimization, debugging and tuning of KVM
• New KVM feature development
• Optimization and maintenance of KVM and QEMU code

• Proven C or Assembler programming expertise
• Deep knowledge of the z Systems architecture (e.g. s390x)
• Experience working with kernel at the level of device drivers
• Experience with the Linux user space and system development
• Ability to work on your own
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Previous experience with open source projects
• Background in Linux low-level networking
• Experience with virtualization, KVM, and QEMU
