The SLMS Software Asset Management (SAM) serviceprovides HP’s customers with software installation and license statusinformation to help them manage their software licenses in a cost effectivemanner in an ever changing industry. Position summary
There is an opportunity within the SLMS SAM Development team for two Software Engineers to enhance an existing solution based on HP Asset Manager for new customer requirements. The solution’s goals are to automate operational activities, through the integration of existing HP and 3rd party tools and the development of in-house tools, as required, to drive down cost within the service delivery organization.
The successful candidates will have strong collaboration skills, the ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements, a good technical background and understanding of the Agile development process. As part of the job they will be trained and gain domain experience in the quickly expanding Software Asset Management industry, including licensing in Cloud, SAM delivery processes and system analysis skills. They will be part of a team focused on producing solutions that can be moved to production in short cycles, using the latest tools and technologies, to deliver immediate benefits to the service.
Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance in-house developed applications to support the SLMS SAM business end to end processes
Utilising .NET and SQL expertise, develop additional capabilities to enhance & adapt HP Asset Manager.
Acquire and maintain an understanding of the capabilities of HP Asset Manager SAM functionality
Contribute to the development, test, release and support of existing and new functionality
Deliver engineering documentation and controlling conformance with HP’s development process
Provide 3rd level support to the SLMS SAM Operations team
