Job description, responsibilities and duties

In this role, you will start up with the design, development and execution of all testing-related activities on application components of IT solutions. Later you will also participate on developing, implementing and supporting integrated solutions, working hand in hand with other people in HP. You will work with the technologies like Java, JEE within the EMEA (Europe Middle East and Africa) region.
You will receive training as required, both formal in-house training as well as on the job training.

Key responsibilities:
Of a Tester:
• Establishes testing strategy and plans.
• Performs analysis of business requirements & designs for testability.
• Designs and develops test cases.
• Utilizes appropriate tools to develop automated test scripts.
• Executes various testing types such as system, system integration, performance and modeling.
• Participates in all testing phases of software development lifecycle.

Of a Developer:
• Participates in team development of new and maintenance of existing features of software applications.
• Implements a code, using industry-standard development environment following coding guidelines.
• Participates in code reviews.
• Creates and executes unit (module) tests.
• Fixes defects in testing and maintenance phases.
• May participate in a design of simple components.
• Communicates effectively with designers, testers and a team lead.

Personality requirements and skills

• First Level University degree (Engineering degree in Computer Science/Information systems or related field).
• Fresh graduate (2015) or maximum a year after graduation (2014).
• Educational background in IT (programming or database management) or business with strong affinity towards IT.
• English language skills – Intermediate or fluent.
• Experience with JAVA programming (for example in web page developing).
• Database knowledge.
• Analytical thinking.
• Able to collaborate and work in teams - even in virtual teams with members working together from different locations.
