Job description, responsibilities and duties
The Senior Engineer will focus on the technical design, process, document, automation, support of HP Helion VPC Linux and clustering services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Engineers Linux solutions that tie into product roadmap
- Support the Architecture Team in documenting technical requirements for dependent components and maintain relationships with the product engineering function that owns the dependent components to ensure it meets requirements.
- Tests technology components, Evaluates and qualifies supplier technology based on technology roadmaps and Architecture Strategy
- Ability to translate Architecture Requirement definitions into technical service engineering deliverables including CTP Documentation, Bills of Material (with Product Groups), cost,...
- Creates/drives automation of Operational tasks/Process in his area of expertise in line with Cloud Automation strategy supported by the Automation Engineer
- Drives implementation of certified solution and supports critical sites issue
- Support the integration of tools & process into delivery Services, working closely with the Cloud delivery
- Provide Delivery trainings as required

- Experience in hypervisors (VMWare/KVM) is an advantage.

- Significant experience and working knowledge of Linux and clustering.
- Good communication, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Possess creative ability, consulting skills, leadership qualities, credibility, self-confidence.
- Ability to assimilate multiple technologies / service requirements into a complete service design.
- Should have a proven track record of influencing others and be able to work with minimal guidance.
-BASH and Perl or Python scripting language experience required.
Education
- Master degree in computer science, information systems, Electrical engineering or equivalent experience is required.
- ITIL foundation certificate (advantage).
- At least 8 years of experience in IT environment.
