The Role:
The Kuwaiti Danish Dairy Company (KDD) is one of the leading producers of high quality food products in the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) Countries. For a new position within KDD we are hiring a Deputy Plant Manager- Plastic Factory, who, while reporting to the Plant Manager – Plastic Factory overall has the same obligations and responsibilities as his superior and when the Plant Manager – Plastic Factory is not on duty the Deputy Plant Manager – Plastic Factory will be acting on his behalf.

As outlined below, the Deputy Plant Manager – Plastic Factory has specific areas of responsibilities, but overall the function of the Deputy Plant Manager – Plastic Factory is to assist and support the Plant Manager – Plastic Factory.

General duties comprises the below list, which may not be exhaustive. the Deputy Plant Manager – Plastic Factory shall:

• Assist in providing visible leadership, in a culture of openness, and help delegate responsibilities with clear instructions.
• Drive and implement LEAN production actions within the plastic factory together with the LEAN department of KDD
• Support and strengthen the production quality initiatives within the plastic factory.
• Develop new and optimize existing products.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and provide proposals for solution.
• Ensure products conform to internal, statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical support and problem solving solutions where necessary.
• Instigate that procedures are established, and maintained, and ensure to promote awareness as they are implemented and enforced.
• Ensure adequate human resource whilst encouraging development and progression.
• Ensure adhere to Company regulations, hygiene standards and health and safety policies.
• Maintain open communication at Company level for accurate and timely achievement of objectives.
• Process regular achievement and progress reports.
• Ensure that operational costs are controlled within budgets and optimized wherever possible.
• Promote the overall quality policy and quality objectives through supporting information and example.

Qualifications:
The successful applicant for this position will have 10-15 years’ experience within the plastics packaging industry with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial position. A Bachelor’s Degree in Polymer Engineering or any relevant domain or equivalent is required.

It is also important that the Deputy Plant Manager – Plastic Factory:

• Is a committed manager and team player with a strong personality;
• Thrives in a culturally diverse organisation;
• Communicates in English – written as well as spoken. Knowledge of the local practiced language is preferred.
• Knows MS Office & Software.
• With Knowledge of Oracle or SAP or Microsoft Dynamics or any ERP software will be an advantage

The total compensation package, which is negotiated individually, is keeping your high level of experience and qualification in mind. There is no taxation on personal income in Kuwait.
