The Role:
The Kuwaiti Danish Dairy Company (KDD) is one of the leading producers of high quality food products in the Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) Countries. For a new position within KDD we are hiring a Deputy General Project Manager, who, while reporting to the General Project Manager overall has the same obligations and responsibilities as his superior as when the General Project Manager is not on duty the Deputy General Project Manager will be acting on his behalf.

As outlined below, the Deputy General Project Manager has specific areas of responsibilities, but overall the function of the Deputy General Project Manager is to assist and support the General Project Manager in his duties.

General duties comprises the below list, which may not be exhaustive. The Deputy General Project Manager shall:

• Provide direction and support to the project team through guidance, and clear and visible leadership.
• Assist with Project prioritization and keep all key stakeholders informed about the status of all projects.
• Maintain high level of information flow to the key stakeholder and project owners to ensure that the scope and direction of all projects is known, and schedules are followed.
• Develop documents (e.g. proposals, requirements & specifications, manuals, etc.), and verify that the project meet specifications.
• Manage projects assigned by department manager
• Instigate and implement changes to departmental policies, goals, objectives and procedures to develop the organization.
• Directing and coordinating all activities concerned with site wide manufacturing CAPEX.
• Plan and direct project related activities, coordinating with other department heads as required.
• Review project plans, timeline and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and identify areas of possible cost and program improvement.
• Follow and approve materials and/or scopes for sitewide manufacturing projects.
• Coordinate meetings with Production/Maintenance and wherever applicable contractors, for all projects which are managed by self.
• Oversees preparations, installations and commissioning aspect of various projects.
• Plan for contingency actions/mitigation for any possibly foreseeable risk.
• Work and aspire others to think maximum optimization and efficiency into the products.
• Actively be involved In Lean Management to ensure that LEAN is implemented within the Project department together with the LEAN department of KDD.

Qualifications:
The successful applicant for this position will have minimum 15 years’ experience of which 10 years is field experience as Engineer and 5 years’ experience in a leading position performing similar tasks. Your experience is preferably be obtained within the food processing industry.

You will also have a relevant education, of at least at Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Electrical Engineering and a PMP Certificate or equivalent is required. A Master’s Degree is preferred.

It is also very important that the Deputy General Project Manager:

• Is a committed manager and team player;
• Communicates, discusses and negotiates with all levels of technical & professional staff, upper management, the Company leadership, and all sectors of the user community;
• Thrives in a culturally diverse organisation;
• Communicates in English – written as well as spoken. Knowledge of the local practiced language is preferred;
• Knows MS Office & Software;
• With Knowledge of Oracle or SAP or Microsoft Dynamics or any ERP software will be an advantage.

The total compensation package, which is negotiated individually, is keeping your high level of experience and qualification in mind. There is no taxation on personal income in Kuwait.
