Aerospace SW Developer (C/C++) for Satellite Communication

This position is opened for CNS (Communications, Navigations and Surveillance) team in Brno, with primary focus on software development for Satellite Communication (SATCOM) units. Units are located within the aircraft and provide data and voice communication between the aircraft and the control tower on the ground over a satellite.

Responsibilities:
• Design and Implement new function prototypes
• Work as a Software Developer to investigate and fix Software Change Requests in the avionics products and tools
• Develop requirements, design, code for avionics products and tools
• Update code and test software written in C, C++, Assembler (depends on specific project needs)
• Create and update Software Development and Verification documentation
• Create Software Test procedures, scripts, and perform validation
• Develop and test embedded software for RTOS running on a real hardware
• Provide weekly technical status

Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years experience with C or C++ or embedded real-time programming – depends on project needs – senior candidates are preferred
• Minimum Masters Degree in Software Engineering or equivalent
• Good command of English language
• Knowledge of ISO-OSI model
• Knowledge of model based software development in real-time embedded environment
• Willingness to work on projects across time zones (cooperation with North America)

Nice to have:
• Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing (DSP)
• Knowledge of system/software life cycle processes
• Demonstrated previous software requirements, design, code, and test experience
• Knowledge of wireless communication
• Knowledge of scripting test language
• Knowledge of DO-178B objectives
• Knowledge of Configuration Management tools
• Willingness to travel to Canada or/and United Kingdom
