Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
• Candidate will be responsible for the design, test, and integration of complex high speed ASIC / FPGAs for aircrafts
• Candidate must understand system level communication requirements and translate these requirements into hardware architecture
• Candidate will fully document design details and hold a design review prior to implementation
• Candidate will implement the approved design using VHDL or Verilog
• Candidate will verify the design by generating all necessary test benches and/or test vectors and simulating with ModelSim
• Candidate will also target the design to a Xilinx or Actel device using synthesis and place & route tools
• Candidate will work closely with hardware and software engineers during design, test and integration

Personality requirements and skills
• Master's degree, experience in ASIC and FPGA development
• Experience with implementation with VHDL or Verilog for Xilinx, Actel or Altera devices
• Simulation tools experience with ModelSim
• Place & route tool experience with ISE or Quartus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required
Nice to have:
• System Verilog is a plus
• Timing analysis and synthesis tools experience with Synplify or Synopsys
• Knowledge of AMBA, PCI, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, OS Linux, scripting languages Python, Perl, Shell, TCL and DO-254 specification a plus
• Experience with implementation with VHDL or Verilog for Xilinx, Actel or Altera devices
• Simulation tools experience with ModelSim
• Place & route tool experience with ISE or Quartus
