*We are looking for a Design Validation Engineer for our gas detection systems and instruments R&D team within the EMEAI Region.

*Job Description:
*Defining, planning, designing, performing and documenting Design Quality Assurance and industry standard product tests of gas detection instruments on New Product Introductions (NPI), Value or Component Engineering (cost reduction) and sustaining activities (quality problem solving, customization, manufacturing support, etc)
*Testing and approving new products, components of sub-assemblies for use in new and legacy products
*Establishing and managing new gas detection laboratory and its equipment
*Applying international standards (UL, CSA, CE, ATEX, SIL) and Honeywell internal processes
*Designing test equipment (test stands) – both hardware and software
*Defining, establishing and promoting test methodologies
*Co-operation with colleagues in Brno as well as in other Europe, Asia and USA
*Occasional travel, mostly in Europe

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

*Master or Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Quality or Physical Engineering
*Work experience in product design testing (validating product functionality and performance characteristics against product requirements)
*Practical skills, at least basic electronics knowledge
*Technical mindset, experience in writing technical texts
*Goal oriented, team player, precise, responsible, integrative thinker, analytical skills, following safety rules and standard
*Experience with testing to EN standards (or equivalent)
*Good written and verbal English language
*Good physical condition
*Advantages: Knowledge of statistics, capability studies and tolerance analysis, reliability testing and analysis methods, programming (C/C++, LabView, C# …)
