Component and Value Engineer

Job Description:
*Conduct search, analyzes and testing for new and alternate sources of electronic components used on present and future products for Heating and Cooling Appliance Controls (controllers, user interfaces, communication modules etc for gas boilers, heat pumps, solar systems, chillers etc.)
*Participate in a international projects to meet requested targets – e.g. cost reductions, 2nd source approvals, obsolescence problems etc.
*Responsible for planning, testing and documenting tests of components and combustion, heating and cooling products/systems according to Honeywell standards and specifications also using statistical methods
*Ensure that all design activities are performed and documented in accordance to international as well as Honeywell internal standards.
*Further responsibilities include continuously improving the test environment, in the areas of test automation, availability, capacity, reliability and product development cycle time reduction.

Qualifications:
*Electronic engineer (Bachelor or Master) with good understanding of electronics
*Good knowledge of electronic and electro-mechanical parts/subsystems portfolio knowledge, circuits, CE standards, EMC rules, PCB design, testing methods and Desing for testability and manufacturability
*Ability to create, commission and verify prototypes, operating modern lab equipment like data loggers, lab view, oscilloscopes, PLCs, soldering station, climatic chambers etc. will support your daily work.
*Good written and verbal communication skills in Czech and English
