Mechanical Design Engineer III

Job Description:



Honeywell Safety Products (HSP) is part of the Honeywell Life Safety (HLS) business, and one of the most diversified manufacturers of Safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the world. We provide the broadest line of PPE available - from body protection with shoes and gloves to fall protection, respiratory, hearing protection or eyewear. Our respiratory product line offers a wide range of products including disposable dust masks, reusable filtering full-face masks, self-contained breathing apparatus, escape devices, etc. We work closely with distributors and end users alike through innovative product design, quality manufacturing, solid marketing, training and support to our customers. Our goal is to enhance worker safety, improve productivity, and create confidence in both the workplace and the market place.



We are looking for a mechanical design engineer for our Respiratory group within the EMEAI Region. This position will be responsible for:



- Defining, designing and verifying (testing) and supporting production of reusable respiratory products (APR, PAPR, SAR, etc.).



- Cooperate with design centers in France (Villers-Cotterets) and Slovakia (Partizanske) on New Product Introductions (NPI), Value or Component Engineering (cost reduction) and Sustaining activities (quality problem solving, customization, manufacturing support, etc).



- Preparation of CAD drawings, technical files, product concept and design, part qualification, user manual updates, internal test reports, etc.



- Regular communication with marketing, suppliers, manufacturing, sourcing & quality departments.



- Part of the work is also management of small projects.



- Perform and conduct performance tests, in accordance with applicable standards.



- Should be willing to travel abroad if it is required.



This position will report directly to EMEAI Respiratory Leader.
