Job description, responsibilities and duties

Structural Engineer performs various engineering analyses to support manufacturing of static components (Aerospace engines).

Work Content:
*Analysis of discrepant hardware to make Engineering recommendations to Materials Review Board (MRB), perform First Article Inspection (FAI) reviews, substantiation testing, Engineering assessments for supplier transitions and repositions, perform design reviews, and implement strategic projects to reduce cost of poor quality (COPQ).
*Utilize engineering analysis tools and seek opportunities to share knowledge with less experienced engineers.
*Effectively documents analysis and technical data in engineering reports.
*Productively supports Technical Excellence Teams (TET) to develop and define engineering criteria, guidelines, and practices.
*Actively supports team to deliver department goals and customer needs.
*Successfully interacts with inter-departmental teams, global sites, manufacturing personnel, suppliers, customers, and subcontractors.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

*Minimum Bachelor degree in Mechanical engineering/Structural engineering or equivalent
*Training in FEA (Finite Element Analysis) with application to stress and vibration analysis preferred
*Experience with ANSYS is an advantage
*Work experience in manufacturing environment is an advantage
*Fundamental understanding of basic functions and components of a turbine engine
*Good interpersonal and team skills
*Ability to speak and write in Czech and English
