Job description, responsibilities and duties
Honeywell Safety Products (HSP) is part of the Honeywell Industrial Safety (HIS) business, and one of the most diversified manufacturers of Safety and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the world. We provide the broadest line of PPE available - from body protection with shoes and gloves to fall protection, Hearing, hearing protection or eyewear. Main responsibilities:
Translate requirements/use cases into an embedded software/firmware design.
Design of embedded software using 8 or 16-bit microprocessors (Atmel, TI, Freescale)
Appliance of international standards (UL, CSA, CE, ATEX, SIL) and Honeywell internal processes.
Support the drive of DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) methodology
Apply Agile methodology for embedded software development.
Apply static and dynamic tools for Embedded Software validation.
Develop detailed software specifications and design algorithms, analyze CPU resources, coding, and testing of firmware to meet specifications and ensure firmware quality
Write efficient, high quality and maintainable C/C++ code (to work on a range of hardware platforms) using industry best practice and methodology

Bachelor’s (or Higher) degree in Electronic and computer engineering.
Previous experience in developing software for embedded systems.

Knowledge in digital signal processing is an advantage.
Skills with reading schematics and data sheets
Good experience of specification design, project planning, and HW/FW integration.
