Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Electrical Products (EP) Senior Adv. Manufacturing Engineer ( AME) will be responsible for all AME activities related to New Electric Product development and launch in production, partner with Electrification Line Of Business (LOB) Leaders and other Integrated Supply Chain (ISC) Functions to drive product and process manufacturing strategies, Design For Manufacturing (DFM) and Cost to grow the business.

• Estimate internal Manufacturing Conversion Cost on New Product Designs working in close cooperation with AME Centers Of Excellence Teams
• Evaluate Product Manufacturability And Proactively Suggest Design Changes To Reduce Product Cost And Improve Quality, driving DFM, PFMEA and Manufacturing Readiness Level ( MRL) to target in the High Speed Electric Machinery manufacturing process domain .
• Define Core/Non-core Manufacturing Strategy For New Product Designs, Leading Make Versus Buy Process working close with SBM / Eng. Procurement and Should Cost team.
• Actively support the organization driving Intellectual Property ( IP) generation for key internal New manufacturing processes
• Together with Engineering Procurement Expert, drive components manufacturing to meet internal assembly needs in respect of DFM and Cost Targets

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Graduate Engineer, preferably Electric Machines Engineering or control systems, or a similar engineering degree
• Minimum of 8 years of previous working experience, preferably in automotive industry
• Minimum 4-6 years of Electrical Engineering experience with orientation towards electro-mechanical systems ( high electric speed motor)
Manufacturing, Assembly and Testing with focus on high volume processes
• Ability to effectively manage relations with internal & external customers, and suppliers.
• Ability to communicate concisely at all level inside and outside the company
• Familiar with TS, ISO & other standards relating to the field
• Fluent in spoken and written English. Second language is a plus.
• Personal flexibility to travel world-wide
• Able to form personal relations which facilitate effective virtual meetings (telecons and Net Meetings)
• Strong problem solving abilities
