Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Gasoline LOB Advanced Mfg Engineer will work closely to Gasoline LOB, AME COEs (assembly and balancing), and other ISC functions to develop new Turbochargers technologies . He will drive Design for Manufacturing activities of NPI lead applications, with the target to reduce manufacturing costs, prevent quality problems, match product specification with manufacturing productivity targets. Main responsibilities will be:

* Identify cost reduction opportunities for new Turbochargers technologies, suggesting design changes to minimize internal and external manufacturing costs, reduce manufacturing complexity and conversion cost.
* Define core/non-core manufacturing strategy for new product designs, leading make versus buy process.
* Partnership with product engineering, AME, Supply base and Operations to secure manufacturing readiness on the new developments.
* Lead MRL (Manufacturing Readiness Level) reviews assuring the right manufacturing maturity and scorecard at PEP phase exit.
* Support strategic ISC initiatives to reach cost, quality and productivity targets
* Participate to LOB MOS, Tier Accountability Meetings, PAC reviews, reporting manufacturing status and addressing relevant actions.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

* Degree in Mechanical / Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering (Master Degree a plus)
* +5 years applicable experience in Manufacturing process or Product Engineering
* Knowledge of assembly and machining manufacturing practices
* Previous experience in leading a project
* Well organized to manage multiple competing priorities in parallel
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, * Fully Bilingual (English, other European language)
* Responsive and responsible to deliver on commitments.
* Motivates and influences others, promoting self-learning and continuous improvement
* An understanding of Turbochargers preferred
* Travel as necessary
* Six Sigma Green-belt (minimum) or Black Belt /Lean expert (preferred)
