Job description, responsibilities and duties
Senior Engineer within an Advanced Manufacturing Leading function. Responsible for the development of Manufacturing Technology & Capacity within the Region and also to Manage Global Projects as assigned by the AME Engineering Leader. Will take an active lead in Manufacturing Process Development as required and will support the development and sustaining of the Manufacturing Technologies via people development & knowledge management.
Areas of Responsibility:
Technology development for Shaft Wheel Assembly (SWA) for Turbochargers. This involves
Support the development and of a Manufacturing Roadmap
Bench-marking,
Core process strengthening,
New process creation,
Intellectual property management
Tactical and Strategic deployment of Manufacturing Technology across the Global Turbo sites.
Sustain and Development of the SWA Element of the AME function. This involves:
Knowledge Management via existing structures and development of new structures to enhance knowledge management
Standardisation of equipment. Global procurement support for Equipment localisation.
Plant Support on specific tactical issues as they arise
People Development (within his team and in the Plants)
Product (Component) Roadmap support with strong linkages with corresponding leaders in Engineering COE functions.

Candidates with education suit the position
University education (Bachelor's degree)
Educational Specialization
Third Level Batchelors Degree in Engineering or Engineering associated discipline
Language skills
English - Upper intermediate (B2)

*At least 5 years Manufacturing Engineering Experience
*Lean manufacturing / Six Sigma knowledge and experience
*Excellent communication and influencing skills
*Precision Machining Technology, Joining Technology, High / Low Volume Automation
*Project Management - Demonstrated ability to lead / contribute to significant projects to completion, on time and within budget
*Implementation of process improvements/capacity increases through new technology / equipment introductions
