Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are looking for a Specialist for a quite new project! The Specialist works with programming, engineering manufacturing release team to develop plans. The Specialist is responsible for coordinating and directing the day to day activities of the standards drawing structures. This is to include the structuring of product bills of materials and the checking of those bills. The Specialist works with product management in the coordination of new product release and old product deletion.
Position Summary:
Create and Maintain bill of material structures using with attention to catalogs and categories.
Coordinate the efforts of the Product Development Engineers, Programming and Product Management related to Induction.
Review all drawings for accuracy of Bill Of Materials plus grammatical and general quality issues
Directs changes and creates new index pages
Support Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales, Service and Systems with basic product and part numbering knowledge.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Matrixes throughout the organization gathering information pertinent to the decision making activities of this position.
Work with product management & product development preparing detailed outlines and associated planning aids for use by standards, induction and data processing in the standardization of product.
Guide the formatting of bills of materials so that they provide for consistency throughout Intelligrated product lines. Consider the manufacturing processes in the assembly of standard equipment structuring to accommodate module and subassembly procedures. Structure these bills & tables with the forethought necessary to provide for ease in the modification process.
Works with product management in guiding the retirement and subsequent deletion from the database of obsolete products.
Coordinating and cooperating to build an effective company team in the area of product standardization and induction.
REQUIREMENTS:
At least BS in Mechanical Engineering or Associates in Mechanical Engineering with equivalent work experience.
3-5 years of relevant work experience preferred.
Ability to multi-task and work well in a team environment.
Ability to communicate in an effective and clear manner.
Ability to travel
Fluent in English
